Zitblow AB. Composition: Each gram of gel contains 1 mg of adapalene BP and 25 mg of benzoyl peroxide IP (as Microspheres). Indication: ZitblowAB is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris in patients 9 years of age and older. Dosage and administration: Apply a thin film of ZitblowAB to affected areas of the face and/or trunk once daily after washing. Use a pea-sized amount for each area of the face (e.g. forehead, chin, each cheek). Avoid the eyes, lips and mucous membranes. ZitblowAB is not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use. Warnings and Precautions: Benzoyl peroxide is not indicated for use around the eyes, nose, mouth, mucous membranes, and open skin as it may cause severe irritation. Exposure to sunlight, including sunlamps, should be minimized during the use of Zitblow AB. Interactions: Concomitant topical acne therapy should be used with caution because a possible cumulative irritancy effect may occur, especially with the use of peeling, desquamating or abrasive agents. Contraindications: Known hypersensitivity to benzoyl peroxide or adapalene or any of the ingredients of the cream. Adverse drug reactions: Observed local adverse reactions in patients treated with Zitblow AB were erythema, scaling, dryness, stinging, and burning. Special Population: Pregnancy category C. There are no well-controlled trials in pregnant women treated with Zitblow AB. It is not known whether adapalene or benzoyl peroxide is excreted in human milk following use of Zitblow AB.
